Transformational Interactions for P2P E-Commerce

چکیده
service composition, service conversations, UDDI, WSDL, WSCL, SOAP Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology brings distributed computing capabilities to individuals, creating a new perspective of networkcapable devices in the role of resources that can be combined to enable new capabilities greater than the sum of the parts. As services become more loosely coupled and increasingly autonomous, heterogeneous distributed services should be able to discover and converse with each other dynamically, with or without human intervention. Current paradigms of service interaction require service developers to hardcode their logic to adhere strictly to pre-defined conversation policies. We propose extending the P2P environment with facilitator services that can leverage “reflected” XML-based specifications (borrowed from the B2B domain) to direct and enable coordinated sequences of message exchanges (conversations) between peer services. In addition, we introduce transformational interactions – abstract specifications of typed message exchanges that have been extended with the ability to specify transformations to be applied to both inbound and outbound documents. Together, these two mechanisms can free service (and, to some extent, client) developers from having to couple business and conversation logic. We also describe our implementation of a prototype facilitator service. The facilitator service is an extremely lightweight solution that can direct, track, and mediate spontaneous conversations between services and clients, thus enabling services to carry out an entire conversation without the service developers having to implement any explicit conversation control or document type transformation mechanisms.

متن کاملSecure Community Trust Stores for Peer-to-Peer e-Commerce Applications Using Cloud Services
P2P e-commerce applications have lower operational costs and inherently more scalable than conventional client-server online trading. Community Trust Stores (CTS) provide reliable and secure storage services for peers involved in P2P e-trading by storing trust data for the peers. Freely available cloud services can host the Community Trust Store and provide 24/7 availability to participating tr...
متن کاملBeyond "web of trust": Enabling P2P E-commerce
The huge success of eBay has proven the demand for customer-to-customer (C2C) electronic commerce. eBay is a centralized infrastructure with all its scalability problems (network bandwidth, server load, availability, etc.). In this paper we argue that C2C e-commerce is an application domain that maps naturally onto the emergent field of P2P systems simply by its underlying interaction model of ...
متن کاملJava Mobile Agents on Project JXTA Peer-to-Peer Platform
Over the last year Peer-to-Peer (p2p) implementations have evolved from experimental to sophisticated systems. Mobile agents have a long e-Commerce history dating back to the middle 1990’s, and have not been generally accepted by the corporate, e-Commerce mainstream. This is because of a misfit with the client-server model. With the advent of p2p networks, sub-network, eco-system like communiti...
